On September 14, 2017, Mitchell Elementary officially launched as a Positive Behavioral Supports and Interventions (PBIS) School. Students are explicitly taught the expected behaviors of being Respectful, Responsible and Safe at all school settings. They are then positively reinforced when they displayed these behaviors through “Eagle Pride” tickets. These tickets can be used to purchase many different items from the Eagle Pride Store. Interventions are also in place for those students who are having trouble exhibiting these behaviors. We are excited to be implementing this school-wide positive behavior system. Make sure to ask your child what it means to be Respectful, Responsible and Safe!
